Todays post is mostly a collection of photographs from our time on Apo Island. There's not much to say about this island other than it is a great place to get some down time relaxing on the beach and reading until you get too hot, then hopping in the water to snorkel with sea turtles and coral reefs to cool down. It is a quiet island populated by an infectiously and innocently nice people whose kids come out at around 4 p.m. to play on the beach until sun down. They are an absolute joy. Here you can become reconnected with the simpler aspects of life, being surrounded by the sound of the waves on the shoreline and the laughter of children. The only abrasive aspect to this island, if it can even be said there is any, is the early wake up call from the sounds of what seems like a million roosters and squealing pigs. It is more than a fair trade off for the myriad of finer aspects to this place. I feel a reservation when it comes to using the term "island paradise," but if I was going to use it for any of the places we have visited thus far, Apo Island would be it.
Look closely to spot the kid mid-backflip behind the boat!
A child reels back from the splashes of his friend.

Everything is so beautiful, your've got a keen eye for photography, must be a trait passed down through the Matheson bloodline. Next time you go somewhere let's agree that you pack me in your onboard luggage, sure it'll be uncomfortable for several hour but I'm sure it'll be worth it for both of us. Let this be your theme song next time you're swimming with your turtle bros. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMszK6IYymo
